• Carry out quality and safety checks to keep product to high standards and protect consumer from harm.
• Work as a balanced team to keep production running smoothly.
• Monitor trends and spot anomalies to prevent machinery breakdowns.
• Using computers and shared programs to record results and running standards for accountability.
• Daily plant walk rounds to monitor equipment and tag and report anything that seems untoward

Outline

With two seven month deployments to the Indian Ocean and the Persian Gulf, involving maritime security and counter-piracy, on HMS Kent.

Key Responsibilities

• Work in the ships control centre to monitor machinery and ship services, responding to alarms and failures.
• Conduct fire and ship damage control response training.
• Carry out planned and unplanned maintenance tasks.
• Maintain fuel levels and create fresh drinking water through reverse osmosis systems.
• Work as a team to keep all services up and running while isolated with no initial backup.
• Train new joiners and sign off completed tasks.
• Work in defense watches 12 hours on 12 hours off when in high security areas.
