I'm a hard-working student in S6, currently I'm working towards my higher and advanced higher qualifications. I'm hoping for a part-time job to gain experience in the workforce and help me build the skills I need for the future. I will do tasks given to me to the best of my ability. I will use communication and teamwork skills to effectively work with my colleagues.
I volunteered with the 32nd Greenock & District Scout Group and joined the Young Leaders Scheme, where I supported Cubs and younger Scouts during games, camps and weekly sessions; I completed Young Leader modules. Scouting develops skills such as teamwork, time management, planning and leadership.I learned to juggle rota changes efficiently, co‑organise activities and help with risk checks so sessions stayed on track. What does that mean for you as an employer? I bring real‑world experience leading small teams, adapting under pressure and clarifying roles. You know what? Corralling ten eight‑year‑olds into a game sharpens communication better than any training. I learnt to maintain safety and inclusion too (safeguarding basics were part of Module A), so I can balance care with action. That mix of practical leadership, scheduling and soft skills could give your team.
