Having recently completed a Business course with an overall grade of Distinction-Distinction-Merit, I’ve developed a strong passion for digital marketing, which I explored through both academic assignments and practical exams. I analyzed successful and unsuccessful marketing campaigns from companies like Apple, Nike, and McDonald’s, delving into their strategic decisions, target audience connections, and overall impact. In one particular exam, I was tasked with creating a comprehensive marketing campaign for a fictional business, where I applied digital techniques such as pay-per-click advertising, social media marketing, and email campaigns to meet specific business goals. This experience gave me valuable practical skills in campaign development and the ability to think strategically under pressure.
My interest in marketing has always been rooted in my love for storytelling. I’ve enjoyed breaking down adverts, YouTube videos, and films not just for entertainment, but to understand how brands craft messages that resonate with audiences. This passion also led me to screenwriting, where I honed my narrative thinking, creativity, and understanding of audience engagement skills that are essential for creating compelling marketing content that captures attention and delivers clear messages.
In my previous customer-facing roles at Lush and McDonald’s, I further developed my communication and customer service skills, gaining insight into how brand messaging and in-store experiences influence customer perceptions. At Lush in particular, I saw firsthand how the brand’s storytelling and values were integrated into every aspect of their marketing and daily operations. This deepened my understanding of brand image and public perception, and taught me the importance of aligning messaging with customer expectations.

I have a keen interest in social media and I regularly follow and enjoy taking notes of current trends and campaigns to understand how brands engage with their audiences whether that's an individual or a company. I enjoy exploring different content formats and experimenting with digital tools, which helps me build practical marketing knowledge.
Creativity is a big part of my life, especially through my passion for film, videography, and screenwriting. I enjoy studying how stories are told visually and how different techniques like editing, music, and dialogue shape the audience’s experience and can be used effectively. I also have a deep interest in music and enjoy analysing lyrics, production styles, and how songs connect emotionally with listeners to portray a feeling or message, which has helped me develop a good understanding of tone and messaging which are key elements in marketing content.
Outside of creative interests, I have a general interest in sport. I enjoy following and participating in various sports such as football and boxing which helps me stay active and disciplined.
