I am currently in my 1st year of college studying the electrical and plumbing course in Gower College Swansea. On this course I am enhancing my current understanding of the electrical trade to help me peruse becoming an electrician. I turn 17 in November of 2026 with the ambition to pass my driving license as quick as possible to get on the road and make it easier to travel for work. I am a very hard worker and will work at any time needed be and will always show up to work on time and ready. I also play rugby which means I have to constantly use my social skills to communicate to my teammates. I also use team work skills and problem solving skills on the pitch.
As a receptionist in Mainway fitness, my responsibilities vary across many different tasks. Some of these responsibilities include welcoming new and old customers to the gym and making sure their experience is exceptional.
I am also in charge of opening the gym from early hours and closing the gym from later hours and making sure it is nice and clean for the customers use.
Working in a gym means that I have to use my social and physical skills to talk and to help customers in the gym weather its moving heavy weights or showing them how to use a machine safe and correctly.
When I worked with KRG Electrical Services Ltd. I enhanced my knowledge of the electrical trade. When I worked with the company, I learnt the names of the tools and equipment that was needed on site. I also got hands on by fitting sockets, light bulbs, switches and help feed wires through the ceilings and walls. I also know the correct PPE to wear on a site to stay as safe as possible. This also helped me understand the basics of the electrician role, which has helped me in college as I'm now used to using the tools and what they're called.
