Assisted in the installation and testing of 33kV and 66kV high-voltage cables, including preparing and installing cable joints and terminations. Gained hands-on experience in high-voltage testing, including fibre optic testing and fault detection. Stripped cables for jointing and terminations, ensuring proper preparation for installation. Worked with fibre optic cables, including breaking out and splicing cables, ensuring quality connections. Familiar with using EXFO OTDR testers, Megger TDR testers, and Megger IR testers for fault detection and testing. Signaled cranes and participated in multiple safety drills, demonstrating strong leadership by leading some drills. Worked offshore, adhering to strict safety standards, ensuring proper handling of equipment and cables in challenging environments. Managed inventory and performed stock checks for electrical materials, ensuring that 800mm and 300mm cables were correctly stored and available for project use. Handled material orders, deliveries, and prepared items for shipping to site locations. Ensured all items were safely stored, properly documented, and organized for easy retrieval. Worked closely with engineers and project managers to ensure timely material availability for ongoing work.
