Work History

Facilities and Installations Manager

  • Started as TPM TECH progressed to electrical install tech which progressed to facilities supervisor with 7 employees working for me covering every aspect of the plant
  • In this role I oversaw looking after all hard and soft services i.e 6 bar air system, process water cooling system, all power supply system, and welding gas supplies
  • In 2017 I got promoted to facilities and installations manager for a new plant of 60,000sqm we were building, this involved working closely with the building construction team (readie) to ensure infrastructure and timings were completed on time in full
  • During this time, I controlled and implemented the install of a 6 bar ring main air system, 14-bar ring main air system, a 5-bar process gas system ring main for process welding, ten 1000amp electrical busbar systems and seven 11,000 volt HV transformer and lv panel Installations
  • 2021-2022 I was recalled back to the old plant 50,000sqm to decommission ready for demolition, this involved removal of all obsolete equipment via auction 19 presses and over 50 robot welding cells and 100 + pedestal welders, a paint plant and weld cleaning plant
  • As well as all hard and soft services to leave a bare shell for the demolition team
  • 2023-present back at the new plant as facilities and install manager looking after all site install and hard and soft services
  • The largest job I’ve done to date is a 2000 ton hot stamping press line and furnace with a 2500amp power supply and 6m deep construction pit for the scrap conveyor system

  • Working on electrical first fix, second fix and fire alarms on Asda, Tesco and Renault garages also the new Donnington racetrack pits and press room, which I supervised up to ten men to get the work complete this was very successful
  • During this time, we used cherry pickers and lifting platforms and also completed a CSCS course

  • I had complete control of the company when my employer was on holiday
  • Dealt with quotations, ordering materials, allocating work to suitable employees, booking jobs in diary, following leads for contracts

  • These works were carried out on various BT exchange centers and train stations
