During my time at the University of Hertfordshire, i had various expeirence using softwares such as AutoCAD and WALLAP as well on-the-ground experience using surveying equipment ,such as Total Station and Tripods. In March 2022, i attended the surveying class trip organised by the module leaders to North Yorkshire. The task was to obtain surveying data from different points to then determine the location of the points. This gave me an opportunity to experience being a surveyor in the real world and be exposed to the likely probems a surveyor will encounter, such as harsh weather ,whilst working in groups.
In December 2022, i spent a day at the HS2 and Align construction location in Rickmansworth and saw the processes undertaken in constructing the soon-to-be high-speed railway line. Being able to see how tunnels and railways are constructed inspired me to research more on structures involved in the transport systems in the UK. It fueled my already burning fire of my love for engineering which lit up when i was still a 14 year old high school student in Zimbabwe.
I am a passionate and hardworking job seeker with strong organisational skills eager to secure entry into thecivil engineering industry. I am a detail-oriented team player and believe i will be able to fit into any entry position due to my drive towards changing the world and making it better and more efficient for future generatiosn to come.
