  • Some of my duties as a terminal support staff member are to check passengers and their luggage, asking the appropriate security questions to ensure that there are no restricted items included
  • I also assist passengers onto the aircraft during an outbound flight and off of the aircraft and into the terminal for an inbound flight, ensuring that all passengers have available trollies to secure their luggage
  • Other tasks include tannoy announcements to update passengers on important information, filling out paperwork and taking payments for flights


Key Achievement: Assisting with aircraft operations, dispatching aircraft and unloading and offloading troops which is vital to military operations.

E2 Accommodation Clerk & E1 Accommodation Manager

  • My key duties as accommodation clerk were to respond to both telephone and email inquiries to assist with booking accommodation within the junior ranks barrack blocks for Royal Air Force personnel, a large part of my role also included both march in and out inspections for those arriving and leaving their rooms
  • In less than one year, I had been promoted to accommodation manager due to my continuous hard work and efforts to improve the standards of the rooms which personnel lived in, and working alone carrying out both clerk and managerial duties during COVID


Key Achievement- I was recognised for being dedicated and enthusiastic by the Station Commander at RAF Benson, who presented me with a letter to thank me for my efforts in going above and beyond, which included additional compensation beyond my salary for excelling within my role
