As an Airport Security Officer at Gatwick Airport, I was responsible for ensuring the safety and security of passengers, staff, and airport operations. My duties included:

• Screening passengers, cabin baggage, and hold baggage using X-ray machines and security equipment.
• Conducting manual searches and security checks when required.
• Verifying identification and boarding documentation.
• Monitoring restricted areas and maintaining compliance with aviation security procedures.
• Responding calmly and professionally to security incidents, and emergencies.
• Providing clear instructions and excellent customer service to passengers from diverse backgrounds.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues, airlines, and other airport agencies to ensure efficient passenger flow.

• This role was to plan and run society events and thus manage the society's

• This involved using editing softwares such as Canva and Photoshop to create dynamic written and graphic content, specifically engaging our
• UEA audience and encouraging audience participation
• I worked on scheduling posts and Instagram stories for the society ensuring I reached all of my deadlines and goals
• I also gained insight into social media marketing, content creating and monitoring online activity
• This was extremely enjoyable as I was able to enhance my event planning skills through designing these posts, and therefore attracting the most members the society

• Being a part of Sitel - the organisation - allowed me to enhance my customer service skills, and by improving this skill I was able to maintain outstanding customer assistance at all times
• It was vital for me to listen and respond promptly and efficiently to the needs of patients
• Furthermore, it also allowed me to improve my communication skills as I had to make phone calls to patients who were suffering from Covid and help them complete a form
• This job allowed me to develop my skills independently and to always have an outstanding performance, from which I was able to meet and exceed my targets and maintain a high statistic.

• Taking part in my first experience in the world of work helped me gain insight on how businesses are ran, in this case, I was assigned on the floor dealing with customers but mainly in the warehouse taking care of the stock
• I had a good balance in identifying which role is more suitable for me and which is more exciting
• Through partaking in this job, I began to identify my advantages as a worker, I came to notice that I have great communication skills with talking to customers and in the process I was taking constructive criticism from the manager and it motivated me into becoming a better person and colleague.
