I have always been interested in laparoscopic Surgery.
HPB Surgery, remains my primary objective.
I am currently working as a Senior clinical fellow, in Emergency Surgery. Would like to obtain, more specialized exposure in specific aspects of Surgery
Clinical Supervisor: Mr Paul Jose, Consultant General and Emergency Surgeon.

Ward rounds, regular theatre list, emergency list, on calls, night
shifts, outpatient clinics, teaching, MDT meetings, Hot clinic reviews.
I have had the chance to operate and learn from a really outstanding Consultant. Nevertheless, the covid-19 crisis, has caused rearrangements in the department and has significantly diminished theatre exposure for everyone. I would not know how things are going to move, however, since Emergency surgery, is not my main concern, I would opt for a change.
Clinical supervisor: Mr Tim Parkinson, Consultant Vascular Surgeon.

I have had the chance to deal with complicated cases of Vascular patients. I have been involved in diagnosing, managing, operating and following up patients.
I have assisted my Consultant in operating on complicated cases.I have individually performed the VNUS procedure and have had the chance to learn how to use a doppler and a dupplex intraoperatively.
I unfortunately, had to leave, since, although Vascular Surgery, is an exciting field of knowledge and challenges, it is not my specialty and not my main interest.
Clinical Supervisor: Mr Efthymios Ypsilantis. Consultant General and Emergency Surgeon

S.A.U patients review. A.E patients surgical evaluation and review.
On call nights. Outpatient clinics. Theatre list. CEPOD list, Long days
M.D.T meeting, teaching.
This was my second job, while in the U.K and my first job as a Registrar. Although, it was mainly an S.A.U job and my role was to review AE surgical patients with the S.H.O on call and decide, on how to manage, I have gained exposure in laparoscopic colorectal procedures and I have operated. It is in that hospital, that I started performing laparoscopic appendicectomies, since, we used to perform them open back home.
I chose to leave, after some months, because, I was looking for something more than AE reviews and continuous on-calls, with limited theatre time.
