Summary
I am a highly positive and motivated individual which has helped me throughout my school life. I am a good role model as I am a sports leader and have been all the way through school. I am also the captain of a football team outside of school which is a hobby I enjoy doing. This has helped to develop strong leadership skills and resilience, supporting team mates and leading by example at all times throughout every game. I have represented the school by refereeing and helping out on sports days after school for younger children. This shows the commitment, dedication, attitude and great interpersonal skills as communicating with others is shown through my teamwork. I participate a lot in after school activities such as cross country and I also enjoy going to the gym. The interest in engineering grew after carrying out work experience at Burnley College, where I got a better understanding of what the career involves. It confirmed that engineering is something I'd really like to pursue. To continue with the experience I signed up for an aspiring engineers course at training 2000. I'm especially enthusiastic about it because I enjoy and do well in maths, science, and design & technology — subjects that have helped build a strong foundation for this field.

- I have carried out volunteering work within the 6 week holidays as a work experience placement for CatonLloyd Limited company, which is an audio visual company that installs across the UK and internationally. I assisted in a variety of general office and administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, document organisation and basic correspondence. I also supported logistical activities in the warehouse and helped organise and manage the stock. This experience has provided myself with office operations and has developed my communication and organisational skills.

- Refereed for games. This involved enforcing rules of fair play and making sure that sportsmanship was maintained throughout the games. Decision making and working well under pressure was a skill that I utilised during this time.

- During my work experience, I spent a day melting and welding different metals to make sure that the metal pipes were strong and secure. I had to listen carefully to instructions and work independently on tasks, which showed that I can follow guidance, perform well and pay close attention to detail.

- I spent the day exploring what it's like to work in engineering. There was alot of information to take in, and we were tested on our listening skills with a quiz at the end. I scored 18 out of 20, which shows I was focused, engaged, and able to absorb key details throughout the day.
