Dedicated professional with strong customer service experience and a patient, friendly approach. Patient: focused on others. Staying calm when busy and working efficiently. Reliable; working independently or together; staying organised. Seeking a new career path to progress skills.
Currently, I work as a kitchen/bar associate for Wetherspoon's. I support the team during busy periods such as food rushes and bar service. The role requires flexibility and multitasking, and I am always willing to help colleagues, including covering shifts when needed. I have been with the company for three years and have been known to be a reliable member of the team, especially in the kitchen. This is where my organisation and efficiency help keep things running smoothly.
Teamwork and clear communication were essential in ensuring customers were served efficiently. I sincerely enjoyed this job as the staff were kind, community-centred people.
This job taught me how to cater to different customers' needs for the first time. By providing personalised service, I began to learn about different areas of the restaurant to carry out certain tasks. These included Drive-Thru, beverages section and the frying section. Occasionally, customers would require different needs, such as disabled customers who would need assistance in entering the restaurant. Often, this job was fast-paced and required quick thinking. By communicating clearly with my colleagues and superiors, I was able to deliver food as fast as possible, with the best service provided.
I worked as a Deputy Head at the Worcester Girls’ Cathedral Choir, which entailed making sure that the younger girls were supported in any way possible, such as making sure they could read their sheet music effectively, were well-fed and hydrated before performances, and supporting them emotionally if they needed somebody to confide in. I worked myself as a choir girl when I was younger, so I found it easy to relate to the young women and aid them in their working experience.
In 2016, I explored my interest in educating young people. I found this experience to be incredibly rewarding as I took care of children both inside and outside of lessons. This involved aiding the teacher in structuring lesson plans, supporting the children’s learning during lesson time and safeguarding them during lunch and break times. I was trusted with multiple tasks during the week, which included helping individual students one on one with their reading and mathematical tasks.
This was my first job as a teenager, where I delivered papers to people’s houses in the early mornings. This required a lot of perseverance as weather conditions would be volatile in the autumn and winter months, which meant I had to ensure papers were delivered in perfect condition. I found freedom within this job as it enabled me to be financially independent for the first time.
