I am an accomplished Senior Data Warehouse Developer with extensive experience in the information technology industry.
I began my data warehousing career in Ab Initio Pipeline development and I extensively built solutions that were ingesting data from databases through to using cloud API. I also have experience in delivering solutions from requirements capture through to providing reporting. I then cross-skilled myself in DBT development, Google Big Query, and Looker whilst still adopting the Kimball Methodology standard to deliver facts and dimensions in the data warehouse.

- Developed a set of fact tables that feed a weekly email to retailers informing them about their advertising performance during the previous 7 days. This email is sent to over 10,000 retailer contacts and it's highly received. I was also involved in making sure the quality of the metrics remained accurate by implementing DBT tests.
- Extracted call data from the call center platform to provide Looker BI reporting on the call performance in Call Queues and by Agents. Used Kafka to stream data into Google Big Query. Used Python to make API calls to retrieve call transcripts and understand the Retailers calling in.
- Used Ab Initio to enhance the on-prem data warehouse. Connected with databases and 3rd Party APIs using Ab Initio Pipelines. Cognos was used to deliver good BI reporting.
- A new learning provider platform provides Masterclasses and Training courses to Motor Industry Retailers. Used FiveTran to stream data into Google BigQuery, and Python and Spark to make API calls. DBT was used to transform the data, and Looker was used to provide BI reporting.
- A 3rd Party email marketing platform is used for Consumer and Customer Marketing. Built an Airflow DAG that read hourly AVRO file data (send, click, and delivery metrics) from Google Cloud Storage and ingested them into Google Big Query. DBT is used to transform the data into fact tables. As well, Hightouch was used to sync contact data from BigQuery to the marketing platform.
- Wrote queries using SQL to retrieve, build, delete, or update information in the data warehouse.
- Devised Ab Initio and DBT processes to handle ETL needs and eliminate bottlenecks.
- Devised Looker dashboards and built LookML code to deliver efficient reporting solutions on data.
- Worked successfully under Agile methodologies to deliver on-time projects.
- Trained and mentored new joiners to share best practices and standardise strategies in DBT.
- Created and implemented data models using the Kimball Methodology.
