  • Care: Giving personal care to all residents ensuring their well being is looked after. This includes bathing, dressing and assistance when eating and drinking if required.
  • Setting up and taking part in activities to enhance the residents stay within the residential home.
  • During my time with the two roles, I have built conversational skills as I am dealing with a wide range of ages and residents with mental health issues and varying learning difficulties.
  • Assisting them with day to day life which can be challenging due to the residents needs which requires me to have a high level of patience and compassion.
  • In a short time at Avery Lodge, I Worked my way up from Domestic House Keeping into the care side of the role.

  • Serving customers either in the showroom or over the telephone, ensuring that details of orders taken accurately using my IT skills to record sales and place orders.
  • Using Microsoft word to create point of sale to use in the showroom, and Microsoft Excel to create quotations for customers.
  • Using the order system to create and send purchase orders to suppliers.
  • Attention to detail was highly important to ensure customer orders were in timely and accurate.
  • I also was responsible for sorting out invoices and delivery notes for the company, and end of month statements.
  • I use several different programs including Sage and Microsoft to do my work.
  • I speak to clients over the phone which has taught me how to handle queries from customers and how to address them, and a lot about customer care.
