Summary

Working in an outstanding school and gaining a wealth of experience has given me confidence to follow my passion and take my knowledge and skills out of the classroom. I am compassionate, creative and an effective HLTA with valuable experience in running a classroom, including administration tasks, planning, assessments, challenging behaviour, positive behaviour reinforcement, marking and additionally fulfilling some professional development. I have the motivation and belief that all children can be successful learners when supported by a positive approach. It is important to provide an exciting and enjoyable learning environment.

HLTA -

I have worked at Fairford Primary school for over 6 years since graduating from university. I have held various roles within the school which are; worked as a 1:1, class TA and HLTA within. I have been part that of the team that has successfully gained an Outstanding rating from Ofsted, also achieved the ranking of 2nd place in Gloucestershire and 9th in the whole of the South West of England Primary schools. I feel honoured and privileged to work in such a highly ranked school.

Responsibilities.

  • Providing seamless cover as Class Teacher in absence of the class teacher, including planning, marking and all daily tasks to continue with the expected standards.
  • Strengthen class management techniques to raise behaviour, whilst improving focus and engagement when teaching or supporting the class.
  • Develop and nurture excellent relationships with students and staff, enhancing positive learning environments.
  • Continuously collaborating with colleagues to ensure classroom polices, strategies and discipline methods are adhered to.
  • Staying abreast of the changes to school policies and educational trends by attending professional development courses. This includes; Phonics
