Throughout my career, I have developed my administrative abilities in various roles, demonstrating a strong proficiency in managing schedules, meeting deadlines, and handling confidential information with the utmost discretion. I have worked in different office environments as part of a team as well as working on my own both of which I adapt to easily, especially when working from home in recent years.
I am proficient in office software, including Word and Excel and recently learning how to use the Xero software. I enjoy and relish learning to use new software and keeping up to date with the new releases of Word and Excel.
In my previous role as a School Secretary, I developed strong communication between parents/guardians and school staff, and streamlined administrative processes including text alerts and website updates. What sets me apart is my commitment to maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. I understand the importance of being the first point of contact for clients and visitors, and I take pride in ensuring a positive and organized representation of the company.
During this period whilst raising my children I took on a couple of roles with the local primary school as treasurer to the pre-school club and clerk to the Governors of Wareside Primary School. I role I did for 9 yeaars.
I completed a two year Youth Training Scheme and worked in various departments offering secretarial skills including answering telephones on the main switchboard, sending messages via the telex machine, typing letters, inputting data from the factory floor onto factory database, working front of house in the training department. I also attended a local college once a week on a secretarial course.
