• Line managing the South Ipswich Family Services Team - chairing team meetings, case supervision, delivering training, allocation of case work, supporting staff with complex cases • Case work for the more complex bespoke cases and out of county provisions, attending Education Health Care Plan (EHCP) Annual Reviews and co-production meetings, supporting families through the EHCP process sourcing appropriate placements and • Funding • Regular attendance on the EHCP panel meetings and Specialist Education Panel (SEP) meetings to secure funding for bespoke and specialist placements • Represent Family Services at the In Year Fair Access Panel (IYFAP) • Managing the exclusions; monitoring procedures and school behavior policies, working with local Pupil Referral Units to allocate places • Dealing with complaints and supporting the team with complex meetings; problem solving tricky cases with positive resolution
• Experience of teaching and supporting children who have been permanently excluded or required respite from mainstream school including students with complex needs and/or a medical diagnosis including Autism, Foetal Alcohol Syndrome, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Oppositional Defiance Disorder, Global Developmental Delay, Attachment and Trauma and Gender Identity Disorder • Lesson planning and cover teaching Key Stage l & 2, rolling out intervention work 1:1 or small group settings • Data tracking of academic and social tracking via assessment toolkits and trackers to monitor progress and support reintegration to mainstream school or identify primary need and pathways to specialist provision • Full participation in two Ofsted inspections including receiving feedback post inspection • Writing EHCP referrals for students with identified needs around Cognition and Learning, Social and Emotional. Communication and Interaction, Sensory and Physical/Health • Chairing and processing Annual Reviews of EHCP, provision mapping and SEN Support pathways • Designated Safeguarding Lead for all Include sites, processing MARFS, representation at Child Protection conferences, CEOP and Prevent trained • The development and implementation of CRES Club (confidence, respect, emotional resilience, and self-esteem) small group work to develop skills and meet provision needs within student's EHCP's (rated as outstanding practice by Ofsted)
