Work History

Co-Founder

Hub Kitchens
08.2023 - Current
  • I am co-founding a new company under the Hub umbrella
  • The company revolves around the development of a cloud kitchen system for Qatar to improve the reach of restaurants around the country to maximize their sales and hence profits while minimizing their rent costs by minimizing the area within their kitchen to the optimal size
  • This will be a building with multiple kitchens with each kitchen assigned to a restaurant
  • I have surveyed possible locations for our first branch and will begin building the first branch, it is expected to open around March 2024.

Assistant CEO

Hub Business Center
06.2023 - Current
  • After careful consideration and observation of my capabilities, I have been elected assistant CEO of Hub Business Center - a young company in Qatar - for my lateral thinking and communication skills.
  • I have been able to shift and expand the landscape of our proud company within the country and even managed to draw in clients during a time when the business market and industry struggled in Qatar after the World Cup.
  • Distributing tasks and utilizing employee skills effectively, as well as strategically partnering with some of our tenants for mutual benefits (such as decreasing their rents if they advertise us.)
  • Recently my focus has been on bringing in more foot traffic, brand recognition, introducing our identity, and planning on expanding regionally.

Visitor Student

Carnegie Mellon University
07.2022 - 11.2022
  • I have done one semester with CMUQ as a visitor student (which has limited me to take no more than 2 subjects.) I
  • aced my subjects with a 4.0 GPA, all while being an active member of the community and student body, helping organize events informally

Online Student

UC Berkeley Online
03.2022 - 06.2022
  • I took an online course with UC Berkeley extension online with two post-graduate level subjects being molecular biology and biochemistry
  • However, I do not believe that is applicable in this case considering it is a post-graduate level course.

Extern

Sidra Hospital Zebrafish Genome Program
07.2021 - 01.2022
  • During my summer break of 2021, I decided to volunteer as an extern in Sidra
  • Hospital’s Zebrafish Genome Programme and assist in the facility (laboratory) as a scientist and shadow the scientists who work there
  • I had to cut my externship (which was originally supposed to be a month) into a two-week externship due to the university starting earlier.
  • I continued the internship (two more weeks) in January 2022.
  • Prior to this externship, I had to perform examinations and trials to determine if I was ready to abide by and adhere to all of the protocols of being in a Zebrafish facility.
  • During the externship, I learned how to inject CRISPR Cas9 into the chorion of the first cell stage embryo of the Zebrafish (recently fertilized eggs) as well as the DCAF15 gene.
  • Additionally, I was required to burst image and compare control groups and test groups to determine how certain genes affect maturation and life in those organisms as opposed to humans who have the same genes (to compare and determine how to provide treatment or a better lifestyle.)
  • It was truly an enlightening experience. As I have been able to learn important skills that I will use in the field such as but not limited to:
  • CRISPR injections
  • Genetic injections
  • Burst image analysis and microscopy
  • Danioscope Software

Intern

WCMQ/Hamad Hospital
06.2018 - 07.2018

  • For my Weill Cornell Medical College - Qatar internship, I did a summer program in which they had me initiated by teaching us some basics about managing my time using a certain technique known as “the Pomodoro technique”
  • Afterward, I proceeded to do some HIPAA training to familiarize myself with and understand the protocol regarding the privacy of the patients of the hospital
  • Additionally, I shadowed a doctor by assisting the doctor with preparing diagnostics in the ophthalmology ward and took pictures in addition to studying certain eye diseases and observing the structure of their nervous system.

Volunteer

F.A.M.E (Texas A&M)
03.2018 - 03.2018
  • Future A&M Engineers) was an engineering convention in which students from multiple schools participated in groups to compete to engineer a device or contraption of the University’s choice.
  • For our convention, we were supposed to engineer an efficient hot air balloon that stays in the air the longest.
  • Our team consisted of four (me included) volunteers.
  • I pushed our team to 3rd place.
