Having completed my CCT in August 2024, I’m excited to begin my role as a newly qualified consultant in Emergency Medicine. While I’m confident in my clinical skills, I’m aware there’s much to learn in managing complex cases and refining decision-making at the consultant level.

In addition to clinical work, the role requires developing leadership and management skills, including overseeing junior staff, optimizing patient flow, and contributing to departmental and MDT meetings. I also focus on quality improvement, teaching, and mentoring to grow into this new leadership role.

• Clinical Excellence: Manage a broad spectrum of emergency cases, including trauma and critical care, utilizing advanced clinical decision-making skills.
• Ultrasound Expertise: Proficient in point-of-care ultrasound, maintaining an extensive logbook to support diagnostic accuracy and enhance patient care.
• Quality Improvement: involved in QIPs and audits to improve departmental efficiency, patient safety, and clinical outcomes.
• Teaching and Training: Develop and conduct induction programs, simulation sessions, and practical workshops for junior doctors and students.
• Leadership and Management: Address patient complaints and investigate serious incidents, implementing strategies to enhance patient safety.
• Professional Development: Attended various courses and teachings to stay updated on the latest practices in emergency medicine.

• During my three years in CSTEM, I have rotated around different specialties in Sligo University Hospital, I completed a total of 18 month in Emergency Medicine, and on my third year I was promoted to a registrar
• I have also completed 3 months of Orthopaedics in my first year
• In my second year I finished 3 months of Internal Medicine and 6 months of General Paediatrics
• In my third year I finished 3 months in Anesthesia and 3 in ITU

• The largest national airport in Sudan and accordingly quite a hectic clinic dealing with various conditions namely medical emergencies.

During my Internship year I rotated around four of the biggest teaching Hospitals in Khartoum, Sudan. Finishing 3 months in the following specialties: General paediatrics, Internal Medicine, General Surgery and Obstetrics and Gynaecology
