The unit plays a crucial role in managing emergency admissions effectively aiming to expedite patient flow and reduce waiting time in Emergency department designed for patients requiring urgent medical assessment and stabilising.
-Rapid assessment and triage: Quickly evaluating patients' conditions and prioritizing care based on acuity and need.
-Patient stabilization: Providing initial treatment and interventions to stabilize patients while awaiting further evaluation.
-Care coordination: Working as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care and discharge planning.
-Medication administration: Administering medications and other treatments as ordered by physicians.
