FS Audit is the largest standalone sector in Audit, and this role is a hybrid between being involved operationally during our busy season and an ad-hoc basis alongside the Ops and Resourcing Assistant, as well as supporting the Senior Resource Manager with reporting and strategic queries.

Role involves but not limited to:

  • Supporting the Senior Resource Manager from an escalation and challenges perspective;
  • Managing 450 resources across three sub-sectors in Financial Services Audit.
  • Escalation point for Operations and Resourcing Assistant;
  • Managing and monitors BRD reporting and variations;
  • Supporting Resourcing Manager with ad-hoc reporting queries and presentations to Partners and Senior Leadership;
  • Supporting the Resourcing Assistant with mapping and planning of budgets for each financial year across Banking, Asset Management and Insurance.

Current focuses:

Professional Qualification - Trainee Resource Management:

  • Oversees Professional Qualification queries, wall planning, and pathways for FS Audit alongside Resourcing Assistant for each year.
  • Mapping of trainees based on each pathway they have joined on.
  • Adjusting pathways based on exam fails or deferrals.

BDO Wave (Extended delivery team):

  • Coordinating BDO Wave, our offshore extended delivery team from a resourcing perspective, working alongside the Audit Manager; involved in recruitment and overall facilitation;
  • Ensuring BDO Wave meet our deadlines based on their recruitment activity, and ensuring it aligns with our resourcing objectives.
  • Weekly update calls to ensure we are able to do our workforce planning accurately based on intake timelines.
  • Check-ins with Ops and Resourcing offshore team to drive the EDT culture remotely.

Timecard Reporting:

  • Implemented tracking of weekly timecards;
  • Utilising timecard data as a method of challenging over resources jobs with under utilised staff;
