Main duties carrying out MOTs to vehicles on a daily basis in a very busy enviroment, and taking care of the MOT Administration paper work on a weekly/monthly basis keeping every thing up to date.
I also carried out some minor mechanical repairs that had failed ON its MOT, which included; tyres, bulbs,brakes,all under the PRS scheme ,and then retested appropeately. As i was the only MOT Tester at this garage.
Main duties to carry out MOT tests on all Class 1&2 Motorcycles , to carry out minor repairs for MOT failures, and to keep update of Administration and paperwork for VOSA INSPECTIONS.
I also used to collect and deliver motorcycles for routine servicing, repairs or breakdowns, and travelled as far as Wales to deliver a brand new Ducati Monster that the customer had purchased.
I also when time allowed usedto prepare and valet second hand machines for resale in the showroom.
To maintain and repair a fleet of High Performance Police Vehicles from immediate response to a Horse box and Prison Van, and Covert vehicles,and to put into service from delivery to fitting the Light Bars, Striping Livery, and any Fabrication work required for their purpose ,from Dog Vehicles and SOCO Vehicles, and all these vehicles were fully serviced every 13 week cycle, and safety checked every week due to the high pressure and conditions they are put under.
