I'm a highly motivated individual with a passion for promoting healthier lifestyles. I currently work in a hybrid role and have years of experience adapting to online and in person, face to face work.
I have achieved this in my career so far from coaching kids, through to personal training and more recently working with companies in helping their staff create better exercise and nutritional habits. I have gained great experience in educating people on health and fitness.
In my current role I'm contracted and working with the MET Police. Delivering health assessments in order to get them fit for work through our occupational health service. This requires me to lead presentations on a 'healthy heart' programme and 'healthy weight' programme as well as other subjects such as mens health. This also requires me to work with members of the police force on a 1-1 basis and in that time I have helped individuals who have failed the job related fitness test, pass the test and get back to full duties. My skill set here allows me to plan and deliver advice to a wide range of people.
I built my portfolio to the point of being the busiest trainer at my place of work. It was here I moved into a management role and learned about leading a team and looking after others, as well as myself. This provided new challenges and threw up unfamiliar scenarios, but through that process, I feel I have learned how to deal with people in certain situations. This tested my leadership skills and style. In 2020 due to the Covid pandemic I was made redundant from my role of 8 years, at the 52 club. This is where I had to quickly adapt and went self employed.
Throughout my previous roles I have also gained experience with administrative tasks and social media promotion.
