Duties and Responsibilities

• Cubing and ordering of concrete
• Ordering and scheduling of rebar
• Liaising with architects, M+E, and structural engineers on design issues
• Looking after the façade package
• Meetings with subcontractors regarding a work program.
• Identify and resolve any construction-related issues or questions that may arise from the drawings on site.
• Provide setting out details to subcontractors on site.

Responsibilities

• Organising operatives, plants, and materials and supervising all ongoing works
• Organising steel call-offs and deliveries to the site
• Compiling and producing all site-related documentation
• Liaise with the design team over construction and contractual issues and give guidance on work being carried out.
• Developing programs of work
• Identify and clarify any construction-related issues or questions arising from the on-site drawings.
• Preparing drawings and specifications during work planning phases along with RFI registers
• Delivering toolbox talks and daily briefings.

I have worked as a Site Engineer at Hoxton on a massive project worth £15 million. HG is the main contractor for this project.

As a Site Engineer, I faced daily challenges both on-site and in the site office. This position required me to work professionally and coordinate with senior engineers to solve and overcome various problems.

My responsibilities included resolving design and development issues. As a setting-out engineer, I utilized a total station to lay out the structural framework and groundwork of the building, which encompassed walls, columns, slabs, and external drainage. I also provided as-built drawings and conducted concrete cubing.
