I am a student at Cardiff University studying Civil engineering. During my studies thus far my communication, collaboration, organisational and time management skills have improved. I have worked as a receptionist at a doctor's practice teaching me workplace skills such as taking payments as well as people skills such as how to handle stressful customer interactions. Work experience at British Petroleum taught me how to present to colleagues and how to use excel. My volunteering at a dog shelter called Animal Ark centre taught me communication skills, discipline and people skills. I have played the violin and the piano from a young age and have attained advanced grades in them. My drawing abilities and efforts have seen me participate and succeed in competitions. This has enhanced my creativity, taught me discipline, practice and concentration. I furthered these skills, and learnt leadership and teamwork from being first violin in an orchestra. I have improved my teamwork, discipline and work ethic by being a first team football player for my school. My A level studies included Further Mathematics and an Extended research project in addition to Mathematics, Physics and Biology.
