I am a motivated and reliable individual with a strong interest in engineering and problem-solving. I am currently studying Higher qualifications in Maths, Physics, Graphic Communication, and Geography at Mearns Academy. These subjects have helped develop my problem-solving ability, technical understanding and attention to detail. I am keen to begin a career in engineering where I can continue to develop both practical and technical skills while learning from experienced engineers. I work well individually or in a team, communicate clearly and approach tasks in a responsible and organised way.
These roles required reliability and teamwork, which helped develop a strong work ethic and the ability to work effectively with others as well as awareness of simple safety procedures when working with equipment.
I am a member of Edzell Golf Club and play as part of the junior team. Competitive golf has helped me develop focus, discipline and teamwork. I also enjoy fishing and spending time outdoors. Fishing has helped develop patience, concentration and attention to detail. Through my interest in engineering and design, I enjoy CAD drawing and creating simple designs which I can produce using 3D printing. I find this useful for understanding how components are designed and manufactured.
