Summary

I have 8.5 months experience in supporting children and young people with Autism and other challenging behaviors working for Partnership of Care. I am also working as a casual support worker for Caerphilly County Borough Council for six months now. I had an opportunity to be trained 3 days in domiciliary care, and did 12 days shadowing in the 15 minutes and more calls for a maximum of 8 hours for Pride in Care and One to One Care organizations both Caerphilly and Blackwood. I am registered with Social Care Wales. I hold Bachelor Degree in Health Sciences & Social Services in community & health psychology, Diploma in Youth development and 15 years of experience in care social services in Botswana. I have vast experience in care working for UNICEF and EU for Child protection programs, as a Child Protection Coordinator. With USAID I lead projects for adolescent girls, and young men and women’s health, personal and economic empowerment. Moreover, I have completed 10 mandatory inhouse training for onboarding in care as a support worker and working on completing induction social care workbooks. I have experience in supporting children with different vulnerabilities such as down syndrome, physical impairment in school set up and in their homes in my previous care jobs in Botswana. I have also cared for my family members, my grandmother who was 92 years with multiple conditions, and dealing with ageing. I have cared for my niece who has learning disabilities due to abuse of alcohol during pregnancy by the mother, which affected his brain development. In the past 15 years of care work my focus has been on both children, adolescent girls, young women, teen mothers and adults. I am seeking opportunity to serve in care for the above-mentioned age categories in care homes set up, class set up and for adults in care homes also. I have the right to Work in UK, DBS Check ID, and residing in Caerphilly.
