INTERESTS

I am a keen horse rider with over 18 years of knowledge and experience. Whilst at university, I played for the Hartpury Polocrosse Team, developing my ridden and on-foot skills. I have a keen interest in natural horsemanship and its benefits, such as building strong relationships based on trust and mutual respect. I have honed my skills and knowledge whilst employed as head wrangler at Echo Valley Ranch and Spa in British Columbia, Canada.

My personal hobbies include a passion for reading, crochet, spending time with the horse I loan, Maggie, and going to live music shows. I also routinely enjoy reformer Pilates, theatre trips with my Nan and monthly art and book clubs.

VOLUNTARY WORK

Girl Guiding, Plymouth, I currently volunteer every week with First Cornwood Rainbows in South Devon with girls ranging from ages 4 to 6. I assist in their learning, play games, colour, bake, do arts and crafts and am available to help the children with additional needs. I am part of a team that teaches the children about safety, being kind and working together.

I am also a befriender with Elder Tree, an organisation that unites lonely people in the community with volunteers willing to spend their time providing company and a listening ear. I travel to Sparkwell once a week to meet the elderly gentleman that I have been paired with. His stories are wonderful and I get as much out of the visit as he does.

FUTURE ASPIRATIONS

I am looking for a career that allows for personal development and longevity within the role. My key interests are equestrianism, events management and environmentalism. I am investing my free time studying courses in my areas of interest to advance my learning, further my education and broaden my horizons.
