I am a caring General Practitioner with over 17 years years of comprehensive medical field experience, with expertise in medical principles and therapeutics. I have a very good knowledge of general medical services, paediatrics, emergency and non-emergency care. I am also organized and friendly to interact positively with medical care providers, patients and families. .
I worked in very deprived areas in Nigeria, serving as patient and community advocate to address health inequalities. Came into the NHS in 2018, worked in emergency medicine and provided many lifesaving care to so many patients. I returned to general practice to train as a GP and it has been a very fulfilling experience. The continuity of care which GPs provide was a highlight of my GP training, as well as the provision of patient centred care.
I go to work intending to make every patient happy/satisfied at the end of my consultation and it feels good knowing that in most of my consultations, I am able to achieve this goal as I make the patient feel listened to with their needs addressed or negotiated to a satisfactory outcome.
I intend to continue to build on my strengths in General practice: good communication skill, excellent clinical skills, patient-centred care and focus on health promotion and disease prevention.
I also intend to complete a Masters Programme in Diabetes and serve as a local resource person for designing and implementing policies to improve diabetes care.
