Waitress

Halloumi
Glasgow, Glasgow City
10.2022 - 08.2023
  • As an experienced waitress in Halloumi, I have learned many valuable lessons about the type of etiquette and attitude it takes to keep a high-quality restaurant in the centre of Glasgow running smoothly. During my time at Halloumi, I was given more responsible duties and proved to management that I could work well under pressure. This has boosted my independence as well as confidence when carrying out challenging tasks, such as working under certain time constraints, handling customer complaints, and multitasking in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Performed bar closing duties, thoroughly cleaning, sanitising and replenishing stock.
  • Adhered to health and safety regulations by examining food quality and maintaining cleanliness.

Event Waitress

200 SVS
Glasgow, Glasgow City
01.2022 - 03.2022

  • During my time in this establishment, I was a key asset in the set up of high-profile events such as business conferences and events for COP26. This was extremely beneficial as I built on my communication skills, such as communicating clearly and effectively as well as with politeness and warmth.
  • At times these events can become stressful during the setup and when waitressing, but I learned how to work under pressure effectively while maintaining a high level of practice.
  • Time management as well as providing quality service were major factors that contributed towards the smooth running of the events, which has greatly benefited me in these areas.

Waitress / Barista

Isle of Coll Cafe
Isle of Coll, Argyll and Bute
05.2021 - 08.2021
  • I worked in the isle of Coll Cafe during my time home from school/ college over the summer periods of 2021/22. Coll is an Island on the West Coast which is where I grew up, it is home to roughly 150 people. This was key to developing my communication/ hospitality skills as I was one of the first faces tourists came across when arriving on the island,
  • I gave tourists great recommendations of places to visit and things to try on the island as most have never been before, which helped the reputation and name of the café grow.
  • Speaking to customers and making their experience even slightly better made the job so worthwhile for me.
  • Produced high-volume orders quickly and accurately, meeting customer demand.
  • Trained new and junior staff members on coffee-making techniques, including grinding, steaming, and latte art.
