Summary

I am an enthusiastic, self motivated person and have been working within the care industry for over 12 years. I am flexible, empathetic and I always put the service uses needs and best interests first. I believe treating people as individuals is paramount and by treating people in the way I wish my family to be treated is the best way to give the appropriate care. I am compassionate and empathetic and I really enjoy caring for people.

I have been fortunate enough in my current employment to have worked on the different units including adult mental health, brain injuries and dementia.

I found the dementia unit the most rewarding. I felt as though I made a good difference to the service users daily lives.

I was recently asked by management to work on the dementia unit for a short period in order to help the carers in their organisation and planning of the shift. I did accomplish this and was delighted with the results, as was the lead nurse and the manager.
