I have had previous experience working in admin as part of an office team for an engineering company, with working knowledge of SAGE.(2004-2007)
I then left this role to have a family. I have a child with severe ASD whom is now a young man and almost ready to leave school. This has highlighted to me the importance of positively using the knowledge I have gained over these years to now work alongside children and adults with similar difficulties. I have acquired a wealth of knowledge on Autism, global developmental delay, emotions, anxiety, challenging behaviour and having to think quickly in difficult situations.
I have volunteered as a scout leader, arranging sessions and excursions.
I currently coach for Royston swimming club and contribute towards delivering sessions and organising residential meets and galas.
during this time I have completed child safeguarding, first aid and GDPR training.
