I was mostly stationed at the anatomic and molecular pathology department where I assisted doctors, lab scientists, and histopathologists in tissue processing procedures like fixation, dehydration, clearing, infiltration, embedding, sectioning and staining. I also took records and collaborated with other health workers from other departments.

• As a Healthcare assistant at the University Teaching Hospital, I provided companionship, comfort and support to the patients. I carried out regular checks with regards to their privacy, I assisted residents to the toilet, where necessary. I changed incontinence pads, prepared meals and administer medication at scheduled time.
