  • Deployed to a range of key ministerial projects to provide short term support to high priority policy teams across the department, providing an internal consultancy style service to help teams achieve respective deadline or programme delivery – requiring me to quickly get up to speed on key issues and rapidly form strong, effective relationships with a range of key stakeholders.
  • Recent projects have seen me the lead work to deliver a UK Government hosted International Summit on the Future of Energy Security in April 2025 - with attendance from over 100 global government and industry leaders, driving forward the UK Net Zero by helping publish the 2030 Clean Power Action Plan and developing the response and support package for workers at the closing Grangemouth Refinery site.

  • Took a leading role in designing and building the key channels and operating model for the Global Talent Network, designed to attract top international technology talent from across the world to the UK - within the Artificial Intelligence (AI), Life Science and Quantum sectors.
  • This included building relationships with a range of key UK employers to support communication and event activity, in addition to working closely with post to develop a series of events across the UK, USA and India to raise awareness with international talent considering a move to the UK.

  • Took a leading role the management of key events such as International Trade Week - ensuring successful delivery of events and engagement through communication activity; utilising external partnerships to support this.

  • Deployed to key departmental priority policy areas, undertaking placements up to three months in length - requiring me to get to grips with new policy areas quickly, rapidly form and develop effective working relationships whilst also being able to work independently and confidently use my judgement, often under pressure.
  • Placements varied hugely but included me supporting communication activity to encourage business preparedness ahead of EU Exit, acting as a sector lead to ensure the on-time delivery of the UKs Net Zero Strategy ahead of COP26 and playing a key role in establishing international engagement on supply chains at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic.
  • Supported the development of key ministerial products such as briefing packs and lines to take, ahead of activity such as Oral Questions in the House of Commons or Select Committee appearances.

  • Having volunteered with the charity since 2015, I play an active role as the Regional Coordinator for Europe, helping to drive forward international engagement as part of the Commonwealth Clean Oceans Campaign, working closely with the team at Commonwealth Sport as part of the King's Baton Relay.
  • Undertake an active role in support of the delivery of key events such as annual Commonwealth Day service held at Westminster Abbey, in addition to wider programme support requiring close and regular engagement with VIPs, the diplomatic community and Royal Household.
