I have recently finished my A-levels and always looking for opportunities where I can further develop my skills and knowledge. During my A-level journey I took part in many opportunities such as LUDUS gold, where I learnt research skills and academic writing skills, and also went on a visit to the Supreme Court to look at an ongoing case. Another opportunity u took part in during A-levels was volunteering during open evenings for my school where I would take parents and students on a tour of my school and answer any questions they had. Over my summer break I have volunteered for the breast cancer charity Future Dreams, where I have made bags and pillows to help patients with breast cancer with their recovery process.
Every week I would come up with craft ideas and curate materials needed for said ideas. At the beginning of the club I’d show an example of the craft we were making and then I would demonstrate how to make it. I’d communicate with the students to ensure they knew what they were doing and answer any questions they had. I demonstrated respect, friendliness and willingness to help wherever needed. I offered friendly, efficient help and guidance and handled challenging situations with ease.
I received an end of term award in English as well as Humanities during my time as a secondary school student. I received a science award at my secondary school’s annual award ceremony and a Jack Petchy award for my work running an art club.
