Work history

Retail assistant

Primark
Inverness, Highland
10.2024 - Current

As a Retail Assistant at Primark, the main duties I was responsible for was providing excellent customer service and replenishing stock. I was primarily based in the kids department, however I gained experience in all aspects of the store such as serving customers at the tills, managing fitting rooms, and click and collect services. This position helped to develop my ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment.

Youth worker

The Place Youth Club
Alness, Highland
04.2023 - Current

I started as a volunteer with The Place Youth Club in the summer of 2021, voluntarily working at Summer Playscheme. Duties involved with the play scheme include organising and delivering various activities for Primary aged children, providing a hot meal for those who can't afford, emotional support and general tidying afterwards. Furthermore, I am also involved with community events where I help wherever needed, allowing me to give back to all individuals within my local community. From my volunteering, I moved on to be employed as a paid Youth Worker with the charity in April 2023. Here, I primarily work nights at our youth club "The Drop-in" which is provided for Academy aged young people.

Moreover, throughout the years I have gained the following qualifications through volunteering/working here: First Aid Certificate, Lord Lieutenant's Recognition Award for Outstanding Contribution, Level 3 Child Protection (2023), Saltire Award for 500+ Hours of Voluntary Youth Work, Introduction to Youth Work (2024), Level 4 Bronze Youth Achievement award (2025)
