Summary

I am a compassionate and enthusiastic senior house officer with a strong interest in both emergency medicine and general medicine. Throughout my foundation year rotations I have demonstrated the ability to manage high pressure situations, work within multidisciplinary teams, and prioritise patient centred practice. I am now seeking to build upon this foundation in a new dynamic and challenging environment.

Interests

I am an active individual and I enjoy filling my free time with outdoor activities. This includes hiking, cycling, outdoor swimming, running and hockey. I also love cooking and I am an avid baker and enjoy making cakes in my spare time. I have an interest in humanitarian work and have spent extended time in Malawi and Marrakech getting involved in local charity projects, setting up projects and running HIV teaching and awareness sessions. My partner and I also had the opportunity to spend our 6 week medical elective in Vila Central Hospital Emergency Department in Vanuatu, a resource poor hospital where we spent our time helping out in whatever way we could. I am hoping to get the opportunity later in my career to spend more time working in developing countries.
