I worked in kinder on Sunday mornings as a teacher assistant for reception boys. It was really good experience for me and i learnt a lot of skills and techniques from working there. I learnt to manage classroom behaviour effectively and use conducive learning methods. Part of my role was to prepare the classroom effectively and safely.

I was able to help many children improve their imagination and motor skills by doing free modelling and other interactive learning activities.

I think this job gave me a lot of experience which i could take further.

The job i am currently occupying is a 1:1 reading teacher in Gateshead Cheder. On a daily basis i help boys years 3-4 improve their reading skills. Many of the boys were very behind in the curriculum but are now slowly reaching their classes standards. Some boys have major reading difficulties and so i provide individualised support. This has also taught me many skills and expanded my work experience.
