My role involved dealing with customers who worked in the hair and beauty industry meaning good customer service was crucial to keep customer relationships strong. It was important to keep my workspace clean and well-organised. Scanning in goods and doing regular stock-counts were daily tasks to keep security levels high. They also had sales targets that I exceeded each quarter. Other tasks included -

• Collaborating effectively with team members to meet sales targets.
• Ensuring stock was replenishment in a timely manner to maintain product availability.
• Training new staff members, promoting a supportive working environment.
• Handled cash transactions swiftly, ensuring accurate accounting.
• Keeping up to date of current sales promotions helping customers make informed buying decisions.
• Assisted customers with product selection for optimal satisfaction.

As a sales assistant my main focus was providing top service, upholding a one-to-one approach with customers to give a more personalised shopping experience even during busy periods when demand is high.

My role also involved:

• Balancing multiple tasks simultaneously whilst maintaining high-quality customer care.
• Listening to customer's needs and preferences to give tailored advice and help on all products they offered to enhance customer experience.
• Assisting customers in locating specific items and product selection to boost customer satisfaction.
• Undergoing multiple stock checks while also ensuring consistent stock rotation.
• Building strong relationships with customers to create a friendly shopping environment.

As a cashier, my main responsibility was serving customers using the retail EPOS system, ensuring that transactions were completed accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner.

Main responsibilities include:

• Taking telephone orders from customers, preparing their orders, and taking card payments over the phone once orders had been fulfilled.
• Restocking shelves of products, ensuring that stock was rotated on a regular basis - keeping store waste to a minimum.
• Checking supplier invoices to ensure that correct prices were being applied, and that profit margins were being maintained based on suppliers' RRP.
• I was also responsible for cashing up both tills at the day, which involved balancing the cash, and leaving a designated float for the next shift.
