Katie Woodhouse

I secured a Sports & Academic Scholarship for Sedbergh Senior School in 2020 after attending Sedbergh Proprietary School in 2018/19. During that time I have played for the Senior Tennis Team, and the Netball 1st team. I sat my International GCSE's and achieved 10 strong results in 2024. My subjects included, English, Latin, Maths, Geography, Religious Studies, Physics, Chemistry, Physical Education &, Biology. I am a boarding student and this brings along many day to day skills, transferable to the workplace including, early mornings, tight schedules, ensuring you are on time and engaged as a self reliant achiever with study and sport. My day starts with chapel at 08:00am, lessons start at 08:25am and finish at 5:55pm, 6 days a week. I then do sports 6 days a week. I moved into 6th form where I enjoy more independent living and hold the responsibility of being a prefect, supporting the younger ladies in house, this involves a great deal of self management. We do enjoy socials on Saturday evenings so its not all work, no play.

In summer 2025 I took my level 1 in sailing, sailing from the West Coast of England to the Outer Hebrides, not for the faint hearted, full shift work with a team of like minded people.

Served as Head Girl during final year at Hunter Hall School, demonstrating leadership and team skills.
Achieved national recognition for mathematics performance and public speaking abilities.
Participated in school choir, securing a major singing role in final production.
Passed all exams necessary for admission to local our Grammar School.
Competed in tennis for both school and county, showcasing athletic ability.
Contributed to local tennis club by assisting with coaching and events.
