I worked as an actress after leaving drama school in London in 1986 and worked in many interesting roles, theatres and different countries from 1986 to 1992. When not acting, I did many differernt types of work between roles. These included being a typist for a busy newspaper, working in pubs, restaurants, driving for delivery jobs all over London and various secretarial jobs. I decided to change career and started my PGCE in 1992.
The best part of my acting career was working in a highly successful circus called 'Circus Senso'. I was an acrobat and trapeze artist as well as acting throughout. This was from 1986 to 1989. I went to Paris to train with the masters for static trapeze as well as the flying trapeze. I worked with Circus Senso for 3 years, before realising I didn't want to end up a circus performer! With a degree in English and many other interests, I felt it was time to leave and move on.
