I’m really excited to apply for the Duty Manager position because I genuinely enjoy working at AirHop and can see myself continuing to grow here. Over the last two years, I’ve progressed from Team Member to Supervisor, which has helped me develop my confidence, leadership skills, and a strong understanding of how to keep the park running safely and smoothly.
One of the things I value most about AirHop is the team. I’ve built strong working relationships with both colleagues and management, and I always aim to be approachable, supportive, and willing to help wherever I can. I take pride in being someone others can rely on and in leading by example rather than just giving instructions.
Alongside my role, I am completing a T Level in Health with a specialism in Midwifery. Through my studies, placements at Frimley Park Hospital, the Care Certificate, and First Aid training, I have developed skills in communication, teamwork, safeguarding, professionalism, and staying calm under pressure. These experiences have also strengthened my understanding of health and safety, following procedures, and making responsible decisions to ensure the wellbeing of others.
In my Supervisor role, I have gained valuable experience supporting the day-to-day running of the park, supervising staff, handling customer situations, assisting with opening and closing procedures, and maintaining high safety standards. I enjoy taking on responsibility and supporting the team during busy shifts, and I am confident in dealing with challenges professionally and calmly.
I also feel I have built trust and respect within the team through consistency, fairness, and a hands-on approach. Having worked closely with many of the team over the past two years, I believe this would support a smooth transition into a Duty Manager role, where I can continue supporting colleagues while taking on greater responsibility.
As I approach the end of college, I have chosen to take time to make a considered decision about my long-term future rather than rushing into university. During this time, I want to continue developing within AirHop and build on the experience I have already gained. I am not viewing this as just a full-time role after college, but as a genuine opportunity to continue progressing within a company I enjoy being part of.
At the end of the day, I care about doing a good job, supporting my team, and continuing to improve. AirHop has given me a lot of opportunities over the last two years, and I feel I have made the most of them by working hard, stepping up when needed, and taking on responsibility whenever possible.
I would really value the opportunity to continue that journey as a Duty Manager, building on my experience, taking on more responsibility, and contributing positively to a team and workplace I am proud to be part of.
