I am able to efficiently and effectively organise my workload by prioritising what is urgent on a day to day basis and what can possibly wait for the next day.
I always strive to finish my workload at the end of the day. However, sometimes this is not possible if there is an urgent matter that needs to be dealt with at the end of the working day.
I am PA to the Partners here at the Ingham Practice (GP Practice). I manage the Principal GP's diary, emails, scheduling of meetings (including travel arrangements), Appraisal Toolkit to include CPD. I am also the Practice's Record Keeper being responsible for ensuring that staff training records up to date. I am Head of the Secretarial Department and as such delegate day to day tasks to other members of my team to ensure that all work is completed in a timely manner.
I am entrusted with being the Patient Representative dealing with complaints and significant events. Other duties include patient referrals, insurance and medicals, minute taking, invoices and other administration duties. I am also the Quality Administrator and am tasked with checking and updating administration policies on a regular basis ensuring that all information is up to date.
In addition to the above, I assist the Practice Manager with managerial tasks such as DBS checks for new starters.
Working for the Managing Partner within a law firm. This role involved arranging meetings, arranging staff appraisals and dealing with confidential matters within the firm. I also worked within the Family Department and Personal Injury Department which included contact with clients, Courts and Counsel.
After the merger with Chattertons and the retirement of the Managing Partner, I took voluntary redundancy and have a little time off work (one year).
