In my time in administration and in bookkeeping I have gained knowledge in accounting and finance and gained invaluable knowledge from varied training from our Accountants using different accounting software ensuring compliance. I have a proven ability to manage VAT returns, and payroll systems and provide accurate invoice collation for both purchase and sales.


I am taking a step back from our business for my husband to take over my role in preparation for a phased sale of the business, therefore enabling me to concentrate on my own career.

Accomplishments

Twice participated in organizing community-wide donation drives in partnership with A1 removals and other Borders buisness's and with involvement from my daughter's school. These collections involved sorting essential first aid, clothing, food and other much needed resources to Ukraine.

Earlier Work History

From the age of 16- 21 I was a groom in various yards ranging from Dressage & Hunting Yards in the Scottish Borders and Trotting Stables in Norway gaining a good and varied knowledge in horse care and health, although this was not the career path I stayed with horses have always been a large part of my life and continue to be. 


Affiliations

  • I live on a small holding with my family including 2 horses and a young filly our dog and two farm cats, my family have always been involved in farming with my father once being a shepherd and being involved with wider family farms. I enjoy cooking and in my spare time furniture upholstery, I am a member of The Connemara Society and plan to show with my daughter our two Connemara ponies in the Summer.
