To Coach Elite MU players aged 14-16, seasons 2016-2020 (MANUSS)
Create individual learning plans for both team and individuals within that team following the Elite Player Performance Plan (EPPP)
Develop continuous development for players of team, working closely with surrounding age groups
Ensure Safeguarding and welfare of players is constantly monitored and acted upon as priority
Video analysis of games
Undertaking constructive meetings with parents, including being available outside of normal working hours for enquiries and concerns
Using in-house PMA system to monitor performance of the team as well as communicate with parents and staff – ensuring that there is transparency within the working environment
Organisation of home and away games
Travelling both inside and outside of the UK for tours, with direct responsibility for the players
Work closely with Sports Science and Psychology departments
Part of my role as U14 Head Coach is to attend tours and tournaments worldwide,the responsibility being head coach or tour leader.

Although I originally began my journey with Manchester United in 1988, I became an apprentice in 1991. Playing for the A/B and Youth Teams, progressing to full professional in 1993.

Achievements:

Played worldwide
Gained the experience of many prestigious coaches.
Played alongside some of Manchester United's most well known players.

The experiences that I have had provide me with insight and knowledge that very few other people can reflect upon. Not only did I play and learn my skill among some amazing players when at Manchester United, I did so with some of the greatest coaches. Because of this, I can provide invaluable knowledge and teaching to the children that I coach, and I incorporate this daily – on both a positive and negative side; being able to provide potential future professionals with a knowledge of how to succeed and stay grounded, and also how to react and grow as a player when there are physical and mental struggles.
A few other notable points are that I continued to play semi-professional football until 2003, which gives me great experience of the diversity of football, and the challenges that can come of playing within lower leagues and for teams that aren't as prestigious as Manchester United.
