Friendly and reliable Nanny with over 20 years of childcare experience. Motivated to help children become happy, healthy and well-balanced. As a parent myself I understand the commitment and consistency that a child needs to grow and thrive. With good communication skills and a flexible work ethic I look forward to working with you and becoming an integral part of your child's future.
I currently work three nights a week working as a waking night carer in a residential care home. My duties involve taking care of and making sure all residents are safe and secure throughout the night, assisting them with any issues or concerns they may have. I also reassure and calm any residents that may become agitated or frightened. I help with personal care and any other needs they may have.
This is an adhoc work arrangement but I generally work once a week. Initially it was to help with a new baby alongside housekeeping duties. These include washing and hanging out clothes, putting laundry away, loading and unloading the dishwasher, washing and sterilising bottles and equipment, emptying nappy bins and anything really that would help to keep the house running smoothly. As time has gone on there is a second baby so my childcare input has increased, often watching the youngest little girl whilst mum runs errands or catches up with sleep. The eldest is now in nursery ready for mum to return to work in the summer when the youngest will also join her sister.
Working full time for a lovely family, supporting them as a nanny to their two children aged 7 & 5 years old. Keeping the house running whilst Dad is working and mum is recovering from major surgery. My duties include two school runs, morning and afternoon, collecting from after school clubs and organising activities for after school and during the school holidays. Whilst the children are at school I am covering all kinds of house keeping duties. From clearing up after breakfast, cleaning out guinea pigs and running errands, to the household laundry, changing and washing all bed linen, online food delivery, meal planning and cooking for the children and prepping dinner for the parents and batch cooking to cover the weekend meals.
Whilst my youngest daughter attended our local pre-school, I joined the committee to support and help raise money for the setting. I then became Chair of the committee for 5 yrs, supporting staff, the treasurer and working closely with the manager and the local authority regarding funding.
