I have significant experience as a registered Child and Adult Nurse ( 37 Years ) Having worked for 20 years in clinical practice - General Paediatrics , Paediatric Respiratory Medicine , Paediatric and neonatal Intensive Care and Community Child Nursing . I also have experience of Adult Nursing during my training and of Mental health and Learning disability Nursing during my career as a child nurse and Nursing academic

I have outstanding experience as a Nurse Academic ( 17.5 years ) first as a lecturer practitioner , then lecturer, senior lecturer, Principal lecturer , Divisional lead for Nursing apprenticeships, then Divisional lead for Child Nursing .

I am able to teach any subject across the Nursing curricula but have particular skills in Nursing clinical skills- which allows me to maintain high level of clinical currency, anatomy and physiology , Child Nursing .

I have a proven Skills of research - MSc - conducted an empirical study , PhD , and PI on current research project.

I have curricula development skills having co written the TNA and RNDA courses in 2018/2019 and in 2024 .

I am safeguarding champion and act as a resource and guide to colleagues within school
