Additional Information

Having studied the job description for the "Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead", I feel that this is a challenge that would be a perfect opportunity for me to increase my safeguarding knowledge and understanding and move forward to be able to support our Designated Safeguarding Lead to a higher standard.

Having supported with safeguarding as a "Safeguarding Champion" within Sciensus since 2017 and worked very closely alongside the Designated Safeguarding Lead ,I have gained valuable experience and grown in confidence.

As part of my current safeguarding role I frequently support and advise Safeguarding Champions, in the absence of the Designated Safeguarding Lead on concerns of abuse or neglect that have been identified and escalated within any business area.

I confidently act as a source of support, advice, and expertise to staff on matters of safety and safeguarding and when deciding whether to make a referral to relevant agencies.

My training is relevant and up to date with safeguarding level 3 and 4.

With the training and experiences that I have received from our Safeguarding Lead, I strongly feel that the foundations are in place to build on and develop further the clinical skills and competencies required to be successful in role.
