  • Plan and allocate daily task, ensuring efficient use of manpower and equipment.
  • Conduct safety briefings, toolbox talks and ensure compliance with relevant rail standards.
  • Coordinate with Supervisor, managers and tech team on how we deal with issue that arise.
  • Complete site documentation, including work reports, safety forms and timesheets.
  • Investigate and resolve on site issue promptly to minimize service disruption.

During my time with Kettering Overhead line, I have involved in repairs of OLE due to high winds (Tree falling on Earth wire), repairs of OLE switches.

I've been involved in assisting Bedford OHL in maintenance such

as Stretch recovery (Balance weight adjustments) I have also ran new contact wire.

• Non-intrusive inspection of the OLE infrastructure

• Establish the operational condition of the OLE by high level intrusive inspection

  • During my time with TES 2000 I was involved in the construction of the CP5 project.
  • I was a part of building of the SPS and construction and registration of cantilever MK 3B.
  • I would be often working alongside OCR helping with the constructions and upgrades of the current projects.
  • These projects would entail of Tensorex insulation, UKMS cantilevers, and renewals of Overhead line equipment.
  • From 2017 to 2018 I would be working in the Chelmsford stores with fabricating Switches, UKMS cantilevers and other SPS.
  • I would assist Peterborough Work delivery in removing Booster transformers and resilience work (Changing Span wires, Pots and Jumpers).
  • My role as OLEC 3 linesman is to construct, renew, enhance and modify overhead line equipment in accordance with design drawing and specification.
  • Key duties of my role include: installation of small part steel, main part steel, running wire contact, catenary, return conductor and earth wire.
  • Reading design drawing and cross sections.
  • Modifying old OLE to meet new design drawing.
  • Installation of in span components.
  • Installation of permanently earthed sections, neutral sections and section insulators.
  • Mentor new OLE staff and help them gain more understanding about the OLE.
  • Sorting and organizing OLE materials.
  • Making sure the overhead line fit for passing electrified trains.
