Cardiff, Vale of Glamorgan
11.2017 - 01.2018

I began my first job at Thornton's as a Christmas temp, where I worked the busy holiday period servicing customers to ensure that they left the store with a positive experience.

This began my journey of work life and the importance of a high level of customer service. During my time here, I learned many skills when interacting with the public such as; adapting my tone of voice, body language, and delivery to different people. This truly gave me an insight that I wanted to stay working in hospitality/retail in the public sector, improving customers' outlook and their time spent shopping. Some key skills I developed are outlined below:

  • Unpack deliveries, stock shelves and arrange displays
  • Rotate and replace stock.
  • keep the store clean and tidy.
